Can I install a 2004 Buick Century 3.1 into my 2002 Buick Century?

The Wrecking yard sight shows a 2004 has the idler pulley mounted to the
timing cover.  
The 2002 has a belt tensioner on the timing cover.

I just changed a waterpump on my 03 Buick cen 3.1 now it ack like the timing change is our have no comoresshone it turns over no fire pops in the intake what should i do
