Buick Century 2002 suddenly won't start

Asked by Oct 28, 2014 at 03:31 PM about the 2002 Buick Century Limited Sedan FWD

Question type: General

This happens after it has been driven and parked multiple times in one day w/no problem prior. When ignition key is inserted/turned..NOTHING. No clicks, no power/no lights. Battery is new and maintenance is up to date. I am stymied. The car only has 35K miles on it (sat in mom's carport for many years/maybe driven once a week for short shopping trips. We don't think it's the starter but maybe?

have the alternator checked

Sounds like the ignition switch is bad. Does the blower in the car work on the lower speeds when the ignition is in the on position?

Yes mine does and the head lights come on and dash lights but not the radio or windows
