2002 Buick Century No Power

Asked by Tony Jan 01, 2021 at 12:36 AM about the 2002 Buick Century Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: General

I just got a new battery 2 weeks ago and after leaving the grocery store the I
turned the key and the dash lights and everything tried to start for a second but
everything went dead.  No dash lights, no sound trying to turn over, even door
locks dead.  It's like someone pulled the plug.  I know battery is good...is there
a fuse that would kill all of the power completely?

Maybe a problem with ignition switch? I'd probably go ahead and make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. You can use a test light at fuses, see if voltage, some fuses hot all the time. Some go hot with the key on. good luck

Check your battery cable connections at both ends. Make sure everything is clean and tight. A catastrophic failure such as this is going to be battery related. Hope that helps! Jim
