Warning Light came on and the whole dash went off. Then was working.

1999 Town & country Van. The ABS light came on and them off. Then the whole dash went off, park it for a while, later crank it. It drove find and then the service engine light came on. I am trying to find out what the problem is?
I have read some and it sounds like it maybe a instrument cluster, what do you think?

,,,yes, well the MAIN ground connection is corroded/faulty~ follow the black battery cable to where it attaches to the chassis~ dis-assemble and wirebrush the lug and the chassis....re-assemble for full power to the instrument panel and all the systems like ignition, fuel pump and the critical power to the ECU~

the reason the CEL came on is because the ECU is running on "brown" power....should go away once the main ground is disconnected, but if it does not you could connect this goodie to the OBD-II slot and read then "RESET the CODES"~

with every start....300 or more amps passes through this connection of dis- similar materials and creates a "semi-conductor" layer of corrosion...you've been running your important voltages and amperages through this same spot...well one of them is fussier than most....the power to the ECU~ varying amperages and varying voltages will NOT produce sound judgement~
