stalling, some times will not restat

I have 1998 sl1, 4cyl, some time the car will start up and run for a few minutes and then
stall, will not restart, other time it will start up and run fine for miles and then just shut
down or will run for days before just shutting off, sometimes it will restart and sometimes it
won't, wait a half day or so and it starts??????????

Make sure ur conection and grounds to the starter are good as for stalling make sure ur Rpms are higher to about 1000 for several min then run the roads like ur burning the carbon out of her!

Fuel filter is known to clog and kill an engine and let it restart a half hour or so later but it usually doesn't take to long before restarting, same goes for a fuel pump that's overheating. The car is dying because it is either dropping fuel supply our losing spark, no tools required to check for spark so next time it dies check for spark and post your findings.

Some of these cars get a bad connection at the plug that feeds the fuel pump radio and chime so if you notice that the radio loses its presets you may have this power connection problem there is a TSB related to this I think it's the F5 connection for the instrument cluster
