Why is my car stalling so much

Asked by Guru87814 Jan 10, 2020 at 12:53 AM about the 1999 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL2 Sedan

My car runs and starts stalling really bad and does not
wanna take off. I stop at a red light and it starts hesitating
and then it turns off... I let it sit for a minute and then it
cranks right up. There is a little smoke coming out from
the back and sometimes it wont start at all.
