why does my clutch pedal make noise and very stiff...but only in hot weather?

my clutch pedal makes a noise when i press on it and release it. I have lubed it up at the pivot point and still i have this problem. it seems it only happens when it's very hot outside. the pedal feels stiff. the noise seems to be coming from the clutch pedal to where it hooks into the slave...it's driving me crazy!!!!
