My RPM is reaching 5 as soon as I reach 40mph.

I have an '07 chrysler sebring touring , that i just bought and its sighnaling a (!) under the D shift I dont know if thats the problem with the RPM. The car didnt have a manual so I dont even know what to look for?

Take the battery cable loose for about 5-10min and let the transmission computer reset itself. I had a buddy with an 05 Sebring that had that happen to him, and that is what the dealership told him to do. It fixed his problem.
