96 chevy blazer 4.3

Asked by Jan 04, 2016 at 10:15 AM about the 1996 Chevrolet Blazer LS 2-Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck won't shift out of first when the computer
is cold. Antilock brake light comes on. But when
the computer is warm and I start the truck again
everything is fine any idea what's going on you
think I could have got my computer wet

I really don't think it is the computer on the trany issue. I would change the trany filter & fluid, and add a can of Trans-X to it. The ABS light, well that is a different issue. The only way the computer could get wet is if the windshield was leaking so it is possible to have gotten some moisture.
