What could be causing the sudden loss of power in my hyundai 2007 accent

Asked by Aug 06, 2015 at 09:20 PM about the 2007 Hyundai Accent GS Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my hyundai 2007 accent uphill when the engine light came on followed by a
sudden loss of power.  Made it up the hill to the stop sign and the car was was idling at
around 500 rpm.  any idea. There was no overheating, oil was clean, plenty of coolant.

Have codes checked. If engine light came on should have codes.

Most auto parts stores will scan the computer and get the codes for free. Post them here and we can help further. HTH. -Jim
