leaking coolant, blue smoke from tailpipe.  Car has 130k miles. Is it worth fixing?

That all depends on what is actually wrong, if the engine is totally worn out, and that is unlikely unless it was not maintained properly, then if it is I would say not worth a new engine, maybe a used to sell it as a running vehicle afterwards. Or if your totally in love with the car and will drive till the wheels fall then spend the bucks on a new engine, beats a car payment. Or it could just need new valve guides and seals and that is just a top end overhaul, not near as expensive as a new engine, need to,know more about the coolant leak, could be a water pump, freeze plug or just some bad hoses.
