mechanic say fuel is not running
through the lines need fuel pump

Does it crank over or is the battery not capable of turning the starter. Sounds like these two are not related. When you drive 4-5 miles, do you hear the fuel pump running then? Listen before you start it, key on, should cycle. Then listen when it dies. Any Differene?
