Have the fuel pressure checked. Should be at 55psi and not leak down when turned off

There is a scherder valve towards the back of the motor

Also it runs fine @ times you just never know when. So if that happen it mean I have a bad fuel pump?

It could, or the regulator. The fuel pressure test will rule it out.

Ok So I check pressure and yes it's leaking down when turned off not holding. So it means I have a bad regulator or Pump

Yes, you can take the upper intake off and see if regulator is leaking. It is on the back of the injector unit. If it's leaking there will be a clean spot underneath it. Otherwise it should be rather dirty. If that checks out then it's the pump unless there is a break in a line somewhere.

Thank you! I will try it and let you know..Also this Truck sat for about 6 months but was turned on every other week.. I don't know if that will a difference

Check the MAP sensor and maybe Purge valve. Mine did something similar and it was purge valves and map sensor. Fixed the ones in the front still have to replace the Purge valve in the back if I tighten the gas cap all the way then it builds up pressure and when I take the cap off it releases pressure (like someone farting). So I just don't tighten it all the way until I can afford the part.

I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe and it starts up bad in the morning. In the message box it have Reduce Engine Power. I have had the throttle sensor replaced and cleaned still having problems truck don't go no more than 40mph

hey I have had a similar issue listed originally. What I did and found Even though it comes back... Check your transmision cooling line. And check your radiator. If transmission is not being cooled by radiator then it will act wierd. Everytime this problem starts I just refill my coolant when its cool as it often only happens when its hot. Sometimes not bust mostly hot. like i can drive 5 min or 10 depending on the weather outside and how much stress is on engine to heat it up.
