Emissions Recall

Asked by Mar 20, 2008 at 05:10 PM about the 2006 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Sport 4dr Sedan AWD

Question type: General

Anyone have any experience with the emissions recall that was done on this car. I had mine done and it seems to run the same as before. I had heard some people complain about a performance drop, but this was not my experience. Does anyone know any details about the changes made by Mazda as part of the recall?

If you ask mazda, they will tell you what was done, but I wouldn't worry, as you said your car is running good

Could have been as simple as changing some defaults in the PCM to make the vehicle run more efficiently across all ranges. I would not worry about it but the Mazda dealer should be able to tell you what the actual changes were.
