Lock on driver's side door periodically malfunctions

Asked by HelpMe2 Apr 18, 2013 at 06:05 PM about the 1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lock on driver's side door periodically malfunctions not allowing me to open the door from the inside and exit the car. I have had to lower the window and use the outside door handle to open the door. Any thoughts? Want to sell the car and want everything functioning correctly. In advance, thanks for input.

Take the door panel off and lubricate everything that moves.
