Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1995 Mazda Miata MX5 has been sitting for 2 years. Was parked because it
needed a fuel pump. Recently replaced the fuel pump and has a new battery as
well. Is it Okay to attempt to start the car or does it need to be turned over by
hand  ? or ????

Disconnect the fuel return line and flush the fuel system, then you need to replace the the oil and all filters, remove each spark plug and put a few drops of engine oil in each cylinder, if the plugs look worn best to change then. Once you get it started then you can change out the rest of the fluids like coolant, transmission, brake fluid etc. Don't forget to check all the rubber like hoses, belts
