Replaced the timing belt and water pump now the car will start but die right away. Any idea?

Sounds like to me that your Car is out if Time! The cam shaft an the crank shaft have to be in time when you change that timing belt! So whoever done your timing belt swap has got it out of time!!

sounds about right to me. When you do the belt and timing you need a bar to hold the cams in line
