the driverside brake light only works when passenger turn signal is on. how can i correct

I just bought 2000 chevy s10 blazer. all lights work except driver brake light. it will work if passenger turn signal is on, but not at any other time. any help appreciated

Sounds like a turn signal switch problem, make sure the 4 way is in the off position, sometimes they get sticky, but I think your going to find the problem in the main part of the switch.

Check all bulbs & bulb socket all the way around and look for blown or damaged parts.
