5.9 dodge ram starts fine but after first shift engine loses power

when put in neutral the engine will rev up than normal operating, comes and goes

the problem with mine turned out the iac valve came apart,1/2 turn from ingesting into intake, no code was ever thrown, just a terrible stubble and no power until warm .
