torque converter

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1996 Dodge Ram 5.2L with a 42re transmission, its torque converter locks up when I
put it in either reverse or drive. I have changed the solinoids and checked the voltrages. I
need suggestions.

So you changed the Torque convertor shift solenoid? Still have an issue? Might be the torque convertor then. I'd suggest having a trans specialist look it over for you so you can get the right part/parts replaced, I hate replacing parts that don't need to be changed.
