Abs control module swapping

Asked by May 09, 2017 at 10:46 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet S-10 3 Dr LS Wide Stance 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 chevy s10 that I just bought. Abs
control module is shot, but I hear that's normal. I
don't have the money to replace it and I'm not
confident enough to open it up to fix it.

Would the module from another car work in mine?
For example I know of a 98 wrangler being parted
out near me. Will the module from that work in my
chevy?

1 Answer

I've thought of pick n pull, but the part on chevy s10 is notorious for going out. I feel i would not likely get a working one from a junk yard, and no way to test it before paying.
