What would cause my 2001 blazer to turn over and fire but not stay running for more than a second?

Asked by Jul 17, 2014 at 06:20 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It would not start for 2 hours then for reasons unknown to me it started and ran great. It
turned over and fired but would not run for more than a second or two.

Sounds like what happened when the chip in the key on my ML320 quit. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't. Do you have a spair key? If so try that.

Also the fuel pump relay, the relay that tells the fuel pump to start may be bad, I'm having the same problem, starts, fires, dies.
