300 se stuck in drive, will not shift into neutral or park

Asked by ksample Jan 29, 2014 at 08:40 PM about the 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 4 Dr 300SE Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drove car out of garage fine, went to park it and it wont shift up to neutral or park.  The key is stuck.  Had to disconnect the battery to get out until I can figure this out??? HELP

I know it is elementry but, try firmly pressing on the brake before trying to shift into park. Good luck.
