Asked by Sep 15, 2013 at 06:59 PM about the 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300-Class 300SD Turbodiesel Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It was not that expensive 5 to 10 yrs ago, why now?
I just walked away, came back and asked him to put it in writing.  "What do they make the brake pads out of now, Gold?"   I will also replace the front rotors & bearings as well. (just below, in this form, you do not offer my 1979 model, so I put 1981, your closest model.)  Thank You!   I am brand new to this site. I'll be glad to offer any other assistance to members as needed, if I know the answer.  Pete

Go some place other than the dealer, there are a lot of shops out there that specialize in Euro cars that can do the job and cheaper too.
