Heater Hose Leaking (replacement guide?)
Asked by yassolm Jul 08, 2014 at 02:39 AM about the 2001 Toyota Sienna LE
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hello,
I have a heater hose leaking and so I have to keep replenishing my coolant in my 2001 Sienna. Does anyone know how to replace this part? I'm not an experienced car-mechanic by any stretch but I have done a few things here and there, so detailed advice is appreciated.

Usually the hoses are held on my clamps, you remove the clamps on either end and remove the hose. You might have to remove parts to access the clamps/hose. You can search online for additional help and videos. Try a few Toyota owner forums and youtube.

I would advise that you take this to a good mechanic, because if it is just one hose that needs to be replaced, it shouldn't cost much- although the labor might run the bill up because you will want to replace all the coolant and pressure test the cooling system before you take it on the road again- this is a messy job, and can be dangerous for your engine if not done correctly- just spend the extra money, keep your hands clean, and get it done right- that is a valuable van-
