Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Equinox has had this weird problem whenever I
break the ABS goes off I don't know if it's detecting
slipping somewhere or something but it gets
annoying after driving for an hour. If you have
answers that would help THXS.

Slippery roads or bald tires are possibilities.

I just got new tires and it does it even when it's dry

Maybe the tires are inadequate for your driving needs. Is the ABS light on?

First thing to do when having this sort of issue is check the air pressure in all 4 tires. A low tire can sometimes cause this issue. I know you have new tires, but check the pressure. While checking the pressure make sure the dummies put the correct and same size tires on all 4 wheels. Then check the wheel speed sensors for damage and or debris. If all the above checks out it is time for a trip to the mechanic. Brakes are important so get this fixed ASAP.

It’s on and when you brake (correct spelling) it goes off? I’m wondering why is on all the time?
