2001 toyota celica low rpm and no start at crank problem

Asked by Oct 02, 2019 at 03:10 PM about the 2001 Toyota Celica GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

so for awhile now my car would drop to around 200ish rpm or lower(only
after it warms up completely, at start its normal) when i am at a complete
stop at a red light or stop signs, also sometimes when i go to turn on the car
first time the car will not start on crank(there is not light or anything like it has
no power) but if i jiggle my positive terminal a bit it will start fine. i don't know
if this has anyhting to do with the low rpm problem, but if i turn on my ac it
will jump back up to 800 rpm, but after awhile it will slowly go back down to
the 200ish mark and car starts shaking pretty bad.
