Rubbing/scrapping noise.

Asked by Travis Jul 10, 2020 at 10:48 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After replacing both front end strut assemblies I noticed there is a rubbing or
scraping type noise from my front right side. What could this possibly be?

check the brake rotor shields, sometimes they bend and might be contacting the back of the rotors.

So I found my situation, the new struts are slightly designed differently than the OEM ones. My buddy who's a mechanic said for me to use wheel spacers. Do you think this is correct? I'm not doubting him, just want a second opinion.
