I am moving to Anchorage Alaska and bringing my 2006 Chevy Equinox LT. Does my car have a engine block heater or do I need to purchase one?

You'll have to get under the hood to see, as it was an option in 2006. You can still purchase the part and have it installed. Check with your local mechanic or Chevrolet dealer.
