I have a 2006 pontiac grand prix gxp. I was on my way home and the temperture guage dropped all the way down. Have anyone ever had this problem?
Did the vehicle overheat ? If not just maybe a bad temperature guage sending unit.
No it just dropped all the way to the cold.
Ok then sounds like the temperature sensor just needs to be replaced.
Also may want to check the anti freeze level and make sure it is not low add anti freeze if it is low.
Thank u I am gonna replace it and check the anti freeze.
Also, check the thermostat. Make sure it's not stuck wide open. HTH. -Jim
Yep also check that. Thanks Jim.
Thank u. Do u know where it is located on the car?
Follow the top (large) radiator hose from the radiator back to the engine. It should be right there. HTH. -Jim
Ok thanks I am going to look right now. U have been a great help
You're welcome. Glad to help. -Jim
