Car won’t go past 60-70mph

Asked by Sophia Jun 08, 2021 at 10:05 AM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes(most times) when I’m driving and I
reach 60-70 mph my “TC off”light comes on
and won’t let my accelerate anymore. It
doesn’t matter what weather I’m driving in, it
will still do it. I can still push down on the gas
peddle but it seems to have no power to
accelerate when I do. I have to slow down to
about 50 and then my “TC off” light will turn
off and I’ll be able to accelerate again. Does
anyone know what the issue could be?
