Starting disabled due to theft system

Asked by May 21, 2017 at 05:33 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT2

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced a defective ignition switch and tried the
10 minute and 30 minute relearn. Getting the error
message above when trying to start it.
Disconnected the battery for over an hour and tried
the relearn again with the same result. Any
thoughts on this?

None of what you have tried will work in your situation. Those relearn procedures are for very specific circumstances and as part of a repair to the security system. You need to be towed to your local GM dealer for repair. HTH. -Jim
