my ac is blowing out hot air in my 2004 Pontiac grand Prix ....I have put refrigerate in it n it will stay cold that day but the next day it would be back hot what could be the problem
N its making a sising sound
Sounds like you have a leak in the refrigeration system. You can tackle it one of two ways. Have the system leak tested and repaired. Or charge it again and add a can of sealant with the refrigerant. Most likely an "O" ring or hose has sprung a leak. I've used the sealant on my '03 S- 10 pick up with success. HTH. -Jim
So what would be the cost to get it repaired
Different shops charge different amounts I'd say around $200. Call around to get some quotes.
Cost depends entirely on what's wrong. It could be the compressor, it could be the condenser, it could be a cracked line or a bad connection. You'll need to take the car in to have it diagnosed. Nobody will give you a quote over the phone.
