I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix gtp that has had the transmission rebuilt twice in 2 & a half years. Just had a new radiator put in & the car is leaking transmission fluid bad. I read it could be
The cooler line clogged . Im tired of sinking
more & more into it but im kinda stuck still
owing the bank for the last transmission rip
off. Please guide me
At this point in time I would suggest putting on an external trans cooler and bypassing the one in the radiator, some tranny rebuilders are leaning that way stating that the radiator coolers are not adequate to keep tranny temps low enough when the engine is a full operational temp.
Take it back to the shop that did the work and have a talk with them. Let them know how disappointed you are. Maybe they will be willing to service it and get the leaks stopped. There is likely nothing wrong with it other than the leaks.
