I have a 2001 Pontiac gtp and my problem is that when the car I hot it will start but immediately die my security light flashes. But when the car is cool it starts and runs fine my dad was a mechanic for 30 something years and he thinks its the computer and if it is can I take I out and put another one in? and if that's not the problem what is cause its driving me crazy trying to figure out what it is????? im normally at work all day so I might not be able to check this site very often my email address in desmay111@gmail.com

first thing to do is omit / disconect the security system /cut out/to ign. or by pass it...

When my Pontiac did this, it was a bad starter solenoid
