New Muffler

Asked by Jan 22, 2017 at 05:29 PM about the 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr GTP Supercharged Coupe

Question type: Car Customization

I have a hole in my muffler, so I think it's time to get
a new muffler. I have a 1999 Pontiac GrandPrix GTP
3.8 Supercharged V6. I don't want my car to sound
like a fart cannon, just really loud when I get on it
and a nice deep idle. Any suggestions?

Talk to your local muffler shop about the sound you're looking for. There's plenty of aftermarket mufflers to choose from. Just remember, your Grand Prix has two mufflers. So you'll want to replace both for a uniform sound. HTH. -Jim
