Clicking noise in dash of my 98 Pontiac Gran Prix starts when key is turned to on even b4 car is started. Clicks faster after starting. Problem started after replacing fuel pump

Clicking noise in middle area of dash when key is turned to on. Clicking gets
faster after car is started. Just replaced fuel pump so had to disconnect
battery.

Fleahead removed hvac dirc fuse and clicking stopped along with the hvac fan
