gas.I made it to the gas pump, only had $1.80.put
gas in it.then went to leave, and it acted like it ran
out of gas.it wouldn't start.so I thought it needed
more gas.put 5 more in the tank,it wouldn't
start.after turning the key 3 times..did this several
diff. Times..I finally got it to start.went and put 20
in gad and it did the same thing.this morning I
turned the key 3 times and it started, drove it for a
moment,then when I went to park,it died and won't
start again. Help

U probably need someone to do a fuel pressure test. U can rent tester auto zone for just a deposit. Sounds like you are not getting gas, this will at least lead u in the right direction to c if its fuel related. You at somehow have got air in the line, but that's not usual. You can also have someone turn the ignition just before its in crank position and have someone listen by the fuel pipe (where u add gas) and u should here pump actuate for 5 or so seconds in preperation to build up pressure to start car.

Agree. Sounds like a failed fuel pump. It was probably on its last legs and running it our of fuel may have caused it to overheat and fail completely. It's not air in the line.
