1998 Oldsmobile won't start

My Oldsmobile went out it stopped in the
middle of the road and now it won't stay
running now I believe the starter went out
now when I go to start it just clicks

A clicking starter can also be a low battery. Try jump starting it.

Why do you think its the starter? If the car stopped while driving it, start your diagnosis there. That is not starter related. Quite likely the fuel pump failed. That made it stop. There's a bit of fuel left in the system so it might try to run a bit but that won't last long. In the mean time while trying to start it you've run the battery down so now there is only enough power left to make the starter click a little. Charge your battery, Then have the fuel system tested to see if the fuel pump is working. Don't start spending money on parts until you know what is wrong.
