You need to find out if it is fuel or spark related, try spraying some starter fluid in the intake while cranking, if it fires and runs ever so briefly then it is fuel related, if it does run then it is spark. If no spark the most common things are the Ignition Module, the distributor pick assembly, bad ignition coil. if no fuel in your case as you have already replaced the fuel pump I am going to assume that you have sufficient fuel pressure and flow, so next check for injector power, if no power check injector fuse, then for injector pulse, if no pulse, that comes from the ECM, and the ECM needs cam and crank sensor signals to find TDC. If that is the case then the codes need to be checked to see if the system is totally dead or just some sensor or wiring problems. Here is a site that might help you with the old Ford OBD1 system. http://www.freeautomechanic.com/diagnostictroblecodes7.html

Thank you for your help. I have spray starting fluid in the intake. It will not start. A new distributor is in the car and ignition coil. How do check for injector pulse? I have no code reader doing it old school checking. I am buying the Electric Control Module tomorrow because it has to be special order i was told.

An old style analog voltmeter works just unplug an injector carefully back probe the wire connector and crank over the engine, the needle should rapidly swing back and forth if you have pulse. The site I gave shows you how to pull the codes if you don't have an old ford OBD 1 code reader.

Where is the crank sensor. It is not on transmission housing nor the side of motor where timing chain
