Do I have to replace the whole transmission?

my 2003 Ford Expedition XLT will not move
at all when I put it in drive it does a little bit
in Reverse but I have to use for power it
goes in neutral I checked my transmission
fluid the transmission fluid and the reservoir
jug is mixing what can I do to replace it
without spending a lot of money

So the coolant is mixing with the transmission fluid? Not a good sign. That means the transmission cooler in the radiator has failed. Do not continue to drive it. To save money, You have to do this by yourself or get a friend to help who works on cars. Remove the radiator and replace, check the hoses that attach to the radiator and replace as necessary, then flush the transmission fluid out of the transmission and cooler lines and replace the filter. Add new coolant and transmission fluid and hope for the best. You might be spending around $200 on parts. In most cases after coolant gets into the transmission it swells the clutches and the trans is toast and time for a rebuild. That is thousands. I would consider scrapping or trading in the vehicle before spending big money on it, unless it is in perfect shape. Good Luck!
There are no cheap fixes. Really cheap rebuilt transmission are probably a waste of money. Ford sells quality rebuilt transmissions with a really good warranty.
