My 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix uses water, We have changed the thermostat and the water pump and it still uses water. We cannot see any sign of water on the motor or in the oil. What could be the problem?

My 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix,  3800 engine uses water. We have changed the thermostat and the water pump. there is no evidence of water on the motor or in the oil. What could be causing this?

These engines are notorious for upper and lower intake manifold gasket failure. HTH. -Jim
