I have a 2011 3500 Dodge Ram pulling a fifth.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hooked up the fifth on the weekend and had driven a short distance on a rough road and when I stopped the trailer brakes were locked on and I am not sure but I think only one wheel. The brake control was set at 5.5 and with the brakes on went down to 2.5 to 3.0 which it has always done, however, it then went to 0 and to get the trailer to move of course the truck pulled it and the brake let go on the trailer but even without touching the brakes they seemed to be activating at whim and at 5 Km around a corner the brakes came on again. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like a defective controller and I would check the trailer brakes for proper operation, they may have been damaged during the lockup.
