The passenger seat (captan chair) on my 2 door 96 GMC sierra ext cab has a seat back lever that doesnt lock into place. Ideas on how to fix it?Thank you

Id say follow to the latch either broken cable or something stuck in the way of latch latching

    Truck acts like it’s in neutral when starting in drive or 3rd (just revs). Reverse, 1st, and 2nd work. If I start in first, shift to 2nd, I can shift into 3rd, then overdrive.
