Too tall for 2008 Toyota Corolla ?

I am 6"4", 68 years old and I am not able to drive my friends 2008 Toyota
Corolla due to the fact, that my knees are pressing against the steering wheel. I
owned many cars since I was 24 but never encountered this problem before. Is
this even possible? We even asked a Toyota dealership in Clearwater to check
on this and they stated, that the adjustments are at maximum. Really....?

Really. It's a compact car and you are not a compact person.
