where is the fuel filter located
In front of the rear axle, UNDERNEATH THE CAR, on the right hand side. There is a plastic cover plate that you will need to remove two 10mm plastic "nuts" to remove, then just flex it lightly out of the way (you can take the phillips screw out of the middle as well for a little more flex). It will be bolted to the side rail with a round aluminum "band" held down by two 10mm head bolts (unless this is a 4motion, in which case it is a plastic band with a 12-point torx bolt, and has banjo bolts on the filter)
Hey Tom, should I pull the fuse to it as well? Do I need to clamp the fuel line? Help me out here
You can pull the fuse to releave the pressure. Then start teh car till it won't run anymore. No need to clamp, just have a pan underneath to catch the extra fuel in the filter. Wear safety googles.
is there a photo of the exact location? thanks
