Tire Recommendation for 1992 Miata

Asked by May 26, 2016 at 05:55 PM about the 1992 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Question type: General

I purchased car in 2011,  3rd owner. Car had 87,000 miles at purchase.
Car never seen snow, parked in winter. Current tire Michein  195/60 R 14
on BSS wheel. I put 10,000 miles yearly from April to November, car has
138,000 total miles.  Last year left rear tire blow out.  Time for new tires
I like to 'drive' the car.  I do not drive nuts.  Do not need winter tires.
However I do occasionally drive in the rain.  I figure to get new tires in 4 or
5 years.

Hard to find this tire size.

Any recommendations?

Left tire blew out? How old were the tires? Recommendation is not to drive on tires older than 6 years old due to dry rotting. BFGoodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S is one tire that comes in the size you need. www.tirerack.com
