89 ford tempo head lights

My headlights work but they just wont stay
on I use to mess witb the turn signal and
they would stay on but that wont work any
more it works if I pull in my dimmer switch
and hold it but uf I let go they shut off I
really need help I dont know where to start
do I need to change my multifunction
switch? And how would I go about it. Any
info would be good thanks.

your headlight switch is bad,is a easy change.
