fuel filter

Asked by Nov 11, 2008 at 08:27 PM about the 1986 Chevrolet S-10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I cannot find a fuel filter anywhere, is it possibly located in the fuel tank?

The filter on those older trucks is located in line on the pressure line. If you have a 2.5 litre it is located at the rear of the engine block on the driver's side. If your truck has the 2.8Litre. sell it. No kiding that one is on the front of the engine block driver's side near the belts.
