how do i know which variable valve to change in my 2001 toyota avalon
I got my car scanned from a friend and it read that it needed a vvt valve changed but i go to a mechanic and he says their is two valvs and it will cost me less if i knew which one is the one he has to change the hole job will cost me $160.00 is this a good price or shuld i keep shoping around price includes parts and labor and search fo the faulty valve.
is it running poorly? you've nailed it to a single valve? When was the overheat?
well it has been an ongoing problem i have already changed the radiator and the water pump but it still over heats when we go up hills and I think the timing is off as well i just recently changed the alternator and the the belt that goes around it.
If your timeing is off that will cause it to run hot. Have the timeing reset first
we get them all
